The authors observered a case of congenital microcolon in a 7 day old Korean male newborn infant. He had shown characteristic features of intestinal obstruction such as abdominal distension; vomiting and passage failure of meconium. The main lesion located on the duodeno-jejunal junction as a short area of stenosis with neighbouring adhesion to transverse colon and Treitz ligament. And the proximal third of the ileum and the entire colon showed very narrow lumen as pencil-like appearance. An one stage anastomsis was done but failed to have recovery. And added an analysis of literatures.
